1
Download and create your account
Download from the App Store (iPhone only). Open the app, enter your name — that's it. No email needed to start. Load the demo to explore before adding your own child.
2
Add your child and build their profile
Tap "Add a child" and work through the five profile sections: About, Watch for, What to do, Food, and Their kit. Everything is pre-written — you're just tweaking it to fit your child.
3
Share with a caregiver
Go to your child's profile, tap Share, and send the link or QR code to whoever is looking after your child. They can read it in a browser — no app needed.
4
Create a handover
In the Handovers tab, tap the + button. Fill in who, where, and when — notes are pre-populated from your child's profile. Share the link and the caregiver can confirm they've read it.
5
Set up the School Pack
In Handovers, tap "School Pack". Enter the school name, class, days, and staff list. Share the link with teachers — each one can confirm individually, and you track it all in one place.
6
Upgrade to Premium (optional)
Premium unlocks reassurance pings, caregiver confidence checks, emergency card printing, and more. Start a free 7-day trial anytime from Settings → Upgrade.
Does the caregiver need to download T1Daily?
No. Caregivers access everything through a link in their browser. No app download, no account, no friction. They just tap the link and read.
Is T1Daily a medical app?
No. T1Daily is a communication and preparedness tool. It does not store glucose data, give dosing advice, or connect to any medical device. For all medical decisions, follow your clinical team's guidance.
What happens if I lose my phone?
Your data is stored on-device and included in your regular iCloud backup. If you restore your phone from backup, T1Daily restores with it. You can also export your data at any time via Settings → Privacy & data → Export my data.
Can I share my child's profile with multiple people?
Yes. Your share link can be opened by anyone who has it. You can send it to as many caregivers as you like. Each handover is separate and sent individually to the relevant caregiver.
How do I revoke a share link?
Go to your child's profile, tap Share, then "Refresh & revoke link". This instantly creates a new token and disables the old one. Anyone with the old link immediately loses access.
What is the Confidence Check?
The Confidence Check is a 90-second, three-scenario walkthrough for caregivers. It's framed as a friendly rehearsal, not a test — no scores, no pass/fail. It helps caregivers feel genuinely prepared, and you can see who's completed it in the Caregivers tab.
How do reassurance pings work?
When a caregiver opens a handover link, they see a set of one-tap ping buttons: "All good", "Snack given", "Had a wobble — sorted", and "Heading home". Each tap sends an instant notification to your phone and logs a timestamped entry in the handover timeline. No typing required for the caregiver.
Can both parents use the same child's profile?
Multi-parent access is on our roadmap and will be released in a future update. It requires a cloud sync feature we're currently building. When it's ready, both parents will be able to access, update, and share the same child's profile from separate phones.
Can I add multiple children?
Yes. You can add as many children as you need. The app will display the active child on the home screen, and you can switch between children at any time.
Is there an Android version?
T1Daily is currently iOS only. An Android version is planned for a future release. If you'd like to be notified when Android is available,
email us to join the waitlist.
How do I cancel my Premium subscription?
Subscriptions are managed by Apple. To cancel, go to Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions on your iPhone and cancel T1Daily Premium there. You'll keep Premium access until the end of the current billing period.

Important
T1Daily is a communication and preparedness tool, not a medical device. It does not store glucose or CGM readings, does not calculate insulin doses, and does not give clinical advice. For any medical decision regarding your child's diabetes management, please follow the guidance of your diabetes clinical team.
